I wanted to let you know about some additional snow plow safety items that are great ideas and may work well for your operation. I am a big fan of back up cameras for winter maintenance vehicles. They can more then pay for themselves in accident prevention. But, like tail lights, they get covered with snow and ice. Here are a couple of items that can prevent that.
Another is the green laser for use with your wing plows, these are a great training tool for new drivers or anyone that needs to know where that plow lines up with curbs, mailboxes or bridge piers.
As well as the RoadWatch, remember the surface temperature is where your anti-icing and deicing decesions for material applications should be made. There can be large temperature differences early and late in the winter season. You can contact Michael at:
